| I just got an email from John G, he had to pay an $8 Ticketmaster "convenience" charge on top of his $20 ticket AT THE DOOR. What in the hell is up with that? Why is House of Blues taking a ticketbastard tax at the door? venicemike also wrote that the HOB website had a ticket price of $27.50 but when he showed up at the door he was hit with an additional $5.00 ticketbastard tax. THAT'S FALSE ADVERTISING!!! | |
| Color me clueless but I just learned that Ticketmaster also owns the second largest ticket distributor in the USA, Ticketweb! No wonder Ticketweb fees have risen to the level of Ticketmaster's. Nice way to maintain their monopoly while making it look like they have competition! Bastards!!! Yet another reason why Ticketmaster completely sucks! | |

If you could also include whether the venue has their own box office for advance ticket sales or whether Ticketmaster is the only outlet I'd appreciate it. I'm mostly looking for fee-related submissions but I'd also be interested in hearing any info about inside selling of high demand tickets. | |
